Summer - Mountain bike

The Zillertal, your mountain bike and you .

Sonnenaufgang

Two wheels that mean the (mountain) world to you. Tailwind and boundless freedom. For a whole summer

There is hardly anything more beautiful than conquering the entire Zillertal by mountain bike. The whole Zillertal - that's over 1,200 kilometres of biking in all forms, degrees of difficulty and on the most diverse terrain. What they all have in common: Unforgettable natural panoramas, the best signposting and, along the way, 150 rustic huts that invite you to stop for a bite to eat and a culinary discovery – in front of the dream backdrop of the Zillertal mountains. Discover the bike paths in the Zillertal with your mountain bike, e-bike or a rental bike, which is available directly from us in Mayrhofen. A lockable bike cellar and a workshop are also available at Resort Hotel Neuhaus. On top of that you can get valuable tour tips directly at the reception. Holiday in the Zillertal? Your mountain bike should definitely not be missing out!

Unlimited bike
variety

The requirements of every mountain bike enthusiast are as varied as the tours in the Zillertal. There are those who prefer to enjoy cycling all day long, along the valley floor, crossing cozy alpine villages. Others let themselves be helped a little by an electric motor and conquer the mountains of the Zillertal on an e-bike. For some, this is out of the question: they want to conquer the summit with sheer muscle power. Others prefer to whiz along a single trail down into the valley - at top speed and with the wind in their faces. Many of the 1,200 bike kilometers are also ideal for families: simply start cycling with your children directly in front of your Resort Hotel Neuhaus - with a tailwind towards the sun.

Zillertal = mountain bike paradise

Of the 1,200 kilometres of mountain bike trails in the Zillertal, 99 kilometres are in the blue category, which means they are also ideal for beginners and families. Blue means that the requirements are lower. The natural impressions, panoramas and the great feeling of having made it, however, are in no way inferior to the red and black routes. There are 805 kilometres of red routes. 296 kilometres belong to the black routes and are for mountain bike professionals and all those who are looking for a real challenge. Looking for adrenaline and wild rides? 2,672 vertical meters of perfectly groomed single trails lead you down into the valley. Fancy some high alpine mountain bike pleasure in the Zillertal? You don't have to pedal up hundreds of metres in altitude to get there, because seven of the ten summer mountain cable cars offer bike transport.

Ascension
and hell ride

The action mountain Penken is not called that for nothing. Lots of action, adrenaline and maximum downhill fun await you on the Himmelfahrt and Höllenritt single trails. Don't let the name Himmelfahrt fool you. The single trail starting directly at the mountain station of the Penken combined lift may be considered moderately difficult, but it still demands a lot. Challenging north-shore elements, jumps and steep turns can also be avoided via the "chickenway".

This makes the Ascension the ideal single trail for brave beginners. The ride through Höllenritt lives up to its name. This 4-kilometre-long single trail leads over streams, hairpin bends and dizzying steep sections and over inhospitable terrain almost all the way down into the valley. Some experience is required for this ride. Also required for the single trails in the Zillertal is a well-suspended downhill mountain bike. You can rent one in Mayrhofen.
