Motivated by the dreamlike natural panorama of the Floite - waterfalls to the left and right, blossoming alpine roses and cheering marmots - we slowly treading the gravel road uphill.
The trail leads us over some streams up to the Steinbockhütte snack station (1382 m) and then on to the Greizer Hütte material cable car. There is the perfect place to park your bike and helmet - don't forget to lock them!
On foot, we first hike gently into the Floitental valley, until we start to climb more steeply in the direction of the Greizer Hütte. The path gets steeper and rockier and requires stamina and surefootedness. With the hut in front of us and the smell of delicious blueberry pancakes in our nose, we are managing the last few metres in altitude. Having arrived at the Greizer Hütte (2227 m), we are being greeted by bleating goats and the joyful barking of the hut dog. On the terrace we are rewarded for the climb with a fantastic view of the glacier area - almost within reach - and a heavenly blueberry pancake. We then return along the same path.
